“It is mandatory for all students to secure a date by February 14th, in consideration of our deserving candidates’ personal growth.”
It went on to describe how the “activity” would boost the students’ self-esteem and prepare them for success in the real world. The notice asked students, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, religion, or sexual orientation, to find a date for themselves and support one another in doing so.
Since there was no mention of a date, the Branch Head’s name, or a signature, the notice could very well have been the work of a student practical joke. The company Aakash Educational Services Limited vehemently denied ever having made such a declaration.
