Not Taylor’s version! Swiftie is left ‘terrified’ after her Speak Now vinyl plays a ‘creepy’ electronic track with a very ominous warning instead of the singer’s country album

A Taylor Swift fan has been taken aback after his highly-anticipated vinyl of the singer’s latest album has arrived, only to contain an electronic track with an ominous warning.

Rachel Hunter, 30, from Staffordshire, commissioned the singer’s album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), a re-recording of her 2010 hit country album which was released last week.

After waiting a month for it to arrive, Rachel went to play it and found that Taylor didn’t record the music at all.

Instead ‘Happy Land’, a 1993 electronic track by Ultramarine, was played on one side, while Cabaret Voltaire’s Soul Vine (70 Billion People) was played on the B-side.

In a creepy twist, the song’s lyrics begin with “70 billion people in this world, where are they hiding?”

Rachel eventually found out that the songs are from the album ‘Happy Land: A Compendium of Electronic Music from the British Isles 1992-1996 Volume 1’.

‘This voice started, and I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, do I have a secret message from Taylor on my album?’ And I was like, “That’s not Taylor Swift,” she told NBC News.

It’s the weirdest thing. It must have been a mix up, but I haven’t seen anyone else with the same mix up yet.

Rachel added that she played the vinyl at night, in the dark, and found the “creepy voice” “scary.”

After sharing a playback clip of the track on TikTok, Swiftie – who bought the vinyl from Taylor’s official UK store – said fans joked that “70 billion people” was her favorite vault track. .

Others even said they hope the hitmaker will play it at one of her shows as a ‘surprise song’.

In a statement, Dan Hill, the managing director of the Above Board that distributes the label, said it was a mistake.

‘Due to a pressing error, some Taylor Swift fans received a misprinted copy of ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’, which we’ve learned includes audio from ‘Happy Land (A Compendium of Music from the British Isles 1992-1996 )’

While this error was out of our control, we sincerely hope that anyone who received the vinyl version of Not Taylor enjoys the beats. It is very possible that it will end up being a collector’s item!».

His latest release, Speak Now, has already garnered over 575,000 equivalent album units in the US, in just four days.

Of that number, 400,000 were album sales, of which 225,000 were vinyl copies, and also mark the biggest sales week for that category this year.

The rest of the sales make up the number of CDs, digital album download purchases and cassette tape sales.
