Heinz is launching a new flavour of baked beans.

The American food giant is collaborating with Cornish cheesemaker Cathedral City to bring Brits Cheezy Beanz – a twist on the original baked beans.

A limited-drop of 500 cans of Cheesy Beanz will go on sale online at 12pm on Valentine’s Day, and they’ll hit supermarket shelves nationwide from February 21.

The beans, which are mixed with cheddar and doused with tomato sauce will sell for £1.80.

The funky flavour will also run as a limited edition run of 500 for Valentine’s Day, when foodies can get the tins from 12pm onwards.

Alessandra de Dreuille, Director of Meals and Insights from Heinz, said: ‘We know Brits absolutely love pairing beanz with cheese.

‘We’re thrilled to finally announce our partnership with Cathedral City – bringing beanz lovers up and down the country the ultimate perfect match.

‘And what better time to launch this cheesy duo than in the run up to Valentine’s Day!

‘Whether you’re celebrating with your friends, partner, family or even your pets, you can be sure to find love with Heinz Cheesy Beanz’.

This comes after the company released a unique range of flavoured beans last year, combining two British classics into one.

Curry and beans are perhaps not two menu items you would put together, however Heinz has taken the daring leap for National Curry Week.

According to the condiment brand, the idea was inspired by Britons’ love of curry and baked beans.

To please the taste buds of its clientele, Heinz has released three new curry- flavoured baked bean products.

First up is a combination of the nation’s favourite dish – Chicken Tikka Masala – and the brand’s staple product – read more to discover the rest of the lineup.
