Chinese takeout lovers are shocked to find out what crispy seaweed is made of

Crispy seaweed is a must in most households when it comes to ordering Chinese takeout.

But people have just discovered that their all-time favorite side dish is missing a key ingredient, seaweed.

Angelica Jells from London shared a recipe on TikTok that exposes what crispy seaweed is made of and people feel cheated.

The food content creator shared that the main ingredient can be any leafy green vegetable, like cabbage.

To achieve the fishy flavor, ground amigo tuna is sprinkled over the vegetable of your choice.

While this may come as a surprise, it makes the delicious dish easier to replicate at home.

So the idea that the crispy seaweed was not made from seaweed really baffled me, I felt cheated! I had to recreate it, and it was honestly so easy, all you need is leafy greens and a few seasonings! The fishy flavor actually comes from the ground fried tuna, which is crazy to me! Doing this instantly gave me all the nostalgia and reminded me of the Chinese take-out meals I used to eat as a kid! 🥡🥢 Fry the leaves at 180 degrees Use the cheapest farmer veggies from tesco etc nothing fancy you can use cabbage if you can Find no leaves✌🏾 #chino #chinesetakeaway #receta #recipeinspo #cook #fresco #homemade #tuna #healthy #chef
