Amir Khan has told how he is open to undergoing therapy in a bid to stop himself from messaging women while married to wife Faryal Makhdoom.

Earlier this month, it was alleged the boxer, 36, contacted bridal model Sumaira online and told him that he and Faryal, 31, were ‘not properly together’ and that their marriage was ‘a bit of a business arrangement’.

Amir later hit out at the claims in a chat with Geo News, claiming Sumaira had sent him raunchy pictures unsolicited and attempted to blackmail him for £20,000.

Addressing his denial, Sumaira, 25, shared a TikTok video in which she accused the boxer of lying and threatened to disclose more screenshots of their conversations, prompting his wife Faryal, 31, to address the remarks in an Instagram Story.

Now, Amir has addressed the incident and confessed that he might ‘need help’ to stop him from texting other women, admitting he is open to therapy.

Asked if he would attend therapy sessions, he said, according to The Sun: ‘That question hasn’t been brought up before.

‘But maybe I do need help to stop me from messaging other women. I am willing to go to therapy to stop me sending texts to women who aren’t my wife.

‘I think nowadays with mental health issues, any help goes a long way. It’s definitely something I would do. Things like that do help, so maybe it’s something to think about.’

The sportsman said Faryal was ‘disgusted’ at the news of him messaging another woman, with her telling him: ‘If you have a diamond at home, why do you want to mess around with rocks and stones?’

Amir admitted his behaviour was ‘not nice’ and noted that his children will one day read about what happened, which he said will ‘upset them’.

While the television personality insists he was not cheating as it was ‘just a few texts’, he does admit he regrets sending the messages.

Amir and Faryal have since been on a child-free holiday in Greece together, travelling by private jet.

He claims he needs to refocus now he is no longer boxing, admitting: ‘You get bored and start making mistakes.’

Amir is planning on getting back into training and says he wants to take part in a few TV shows.

It comes after his wife Faryal lashed out at the model who claimed Amir ‘begged her to send him revealing snaps’ earlier this month.

It was alleged he had contacted Sumaira online and told him that he and Faryal were ‘not properly together’ and that their marriage was ‘a bit of a business arrangement’.

Addressing his denial, Sumaira shared a TikTok video on Tuesday in which she accused the boxer of lying and threatened to disclose more screenshots of their conversations.

Shortly after the video went live, Amir’s wife Faryal addressed the remarks in an Instagram Story as she wrote: ‘Even when I was single I never gave a guy my number. Let alone a married one. Simple.’

In turn, Sumaira shared the post on her own account, writing: ‘He gave me his number and told me a whole story on how/why you’re not actually together in reality. Even if I was married I wouldn’t let that run.’

She added: ‘If I was married to a man that was constantly cheating & telling other girls his marriage is just for show I’d leave with the kids instead of staying for this temporary ‘lifestyle’ & being rude to the girls & letting lies about them come out.

‘Simple. Also he gave his number.’

Sumaira then shared a post from a friend that hit out at Amir and Faryal as well as their supporters.

It read: ‘Right… I contemplated a lot before posting this, but this just has to be said. I’m sure everyone is privy to the recent @amirkingkhan @sumzz.beauty @faryalmakhdoom saga.

‘As an advocate for women rights the fact that @sumzz.beauty is getting the brunt of this and being accused of being a HOE is totally unacceptable for me. Yes she conversated [sic] with a married man, that [is] a separate issue.

‘What everyone especially @amirkingkhan, his supporters and wife are forgetting is that Amir Khan is a MARRIED MAN who has gone out of his way to message another women online, give her his number then proceeded to flirt with her, invite her out and send her messages that NO married man should be sending to another woman.

‘After being caught out he then calls her a liar and a HOE. What does that make you? Seriously s**t like this p***es me off. What’s even more disgusting is @faryalmakhdoom, have some self respect, your [sic] raising two girls.

‘l understand he’s your husband and you need to have his back BUT your husband messaged another woman and is now defaming her online. She wasn’t messaging herself she was messaging YOUR husband who was replying. Why defame and blame her only?

‘As a woman yourself you should understand the implications of things like this. I want to make it clear I’m not implying that @sumzz.beauty is innocent and has done no wrong BUT she doesn’t deserve to get all the s**t.

‘Amir Khan man up and learn to keep your desires private, if you have a thing for messaging women that you’re not married too, do it less blatantly.

‘For those Amir Khan supporters GROW UP no amount of charity excuses infidelity. There’s NO excuse.

‘Put a leash on him or cut it loose SIMPLE @faryalmakhdoom

‘STOP FEMALE CANCEL CULTURE WHY IS IT THAT THE WOMAN IS ALWAYS THE HOE and the man ends up being a victim.’

Sumaira rounded off her posts by writing: ‘no coz l’m getting phone call threats, random messages on WhatsApp, people trying to log into my accounts now

‘I’ve got all evidence and I will take it to the police @amirkingkhan @faryalbeauty @faryalmakhdoom if it carries on. What a joke.’

In her TikTok video, Sumaira had called the claims Amir made about being blackmailed ‘stupid’, saying: ‘I honestly don’t care what people have to say about me and it’s definitely not what Amir Khan said about me in that stupid interview on Geo News.

She went on to claim: ‘In terms of evidence I still have the conversations and stuff, obviously I got blocked so there’s not going to be a WhatsApp display picture but I have got some screenshots.’

Sumaira also lashed out at claims she was ‘fame hungry’ and gave her version of events, claiming: ‘In regards to who messaged who first, he messaged me first on Instagram saying my tatts were good.

‘From there it was just a friendly, normal chat, he sent me his number and said to speak on WhatsApp.’

She added text over the video, explaining why she didn’t want to speak out sooner, writing: ‘I also was very angry when he called me a hoe on his IG story and the level of lies he told, plastered my face everywhere – so I didn’t want to react on anger.’

In the clip, she shared screenshots of text exchanges between the pair, including her calling him ‘pathetic and desperate’ as they were embroiled in a row – yet she didn’t explain the context.

After sharing the video she vowed to post a follow-up but later said this would be delayed because she had been ‘threatened’.

She shared a recording of a call she’d had from an unknown number in which she was repeatedly told she was ‘playing with fire’.

Sumaira was heard confronting the caller and accusing him of knowing Amir because they both have a Northern accent, which the caller and Faryal has denied.

She captioned the clip: ‘Today, shortly after posting the Amir Khan story I got this call on WhatsApp from an unsaved number… part two delayed for now for obvious reasons. Didn’t wanna post the full video but he proceeded to threaten me.’

Faryal told MailOnline: ‘No friend of Amir’s has threatened her.’ Amir’s representatives have been contacted for comment.

The tension has stemmed from an interview Sumaira gave The Sun earlier this month in which she claimed Amir begged her to send him revealing pictures and meet up with him ahead of his tenth wedding anniversary.

The chat heated up when he allegedly wrote ‘U look good on g string’ [sic] and suggested the influencer had possibly had a ‘boob job’.

Amir, who has been married to YouTuber Faryal since 2013, appeared to not want to get in any trouble, vowing to delete any pictures he was sent.

He is said to have told the social media influencer Sumaira in May: ‘Think I wana get caught out?’ (sic)

Amir, whose marriage has been dogged by a number of cheating claims, allegedly contacted Sumaira on May 6, three days after he was shown being evicted from the pre-recorded I’m A Celebrity… South Africa.

After he commented on her tattoos on one of Sumaira’s Instagram Stories, she is said to have replied: ‘I don’t know if you’re joking.’

Father of three Amir responded: ‘Lol I’m serious. They sick. (As) in good.’

She later sent him a picture of herself fully clothed but displaying roses on her midriff, to which he allegedly told her: ‘Can’t stop looking.’

Seemingly suggesting she send some more, he insisted it was a ‘tattoo chat’, reportedly adding: ‘It’s nothing I ain’t seen b4 . . . somebody’s body.’

Sumaira then claims they spoke on the phone, during which he attempted to explain why he had contacted her, saying that ‘he and Faryal were not properly together and that it was a bit of a business arrangement’.

She claims he spun a ‘sob story’, saying that he was retired from boxing and Faryal spent a lot of time in London.

The pair then stopped messaging and he claimed he was travelling back to London on May 8.

Weeks later Amir posted a picture of himself with Faryal and their children on social media, writing: ’10 years later.’

It is then claimed he contacted Sumaira again on June 2 when he asked her to come on a night out in London.

She insists she ignored him as she had bad feelings about his intentions.

Amir’s wife Faryal broke her silence in 2018 following claims her boxer husband cheated on her days after the arrival of their second child.

Taking to Instagram, the US-born beauty touched on ‘enduring hardship’, in what appeared to be a swipe at her husband, who is alleged to have bedded beautician Sophia Hammani, 22, after meeting him in a nightclub.

Her two quotes seemed to be thinly-veiled, with the first – attributed to Imam Ali – reading: ‘Enduring hardship is more rewarding then enjoying ease.’

Faryal’s second heartbreaking quote by the same Muslim cleric said: ‘It may happen that you ask God for something and he does not give it you to you in order to endow you with something of better quality later.’

Just days before, it was claimed Faryal had confronted the beautician who slept with the boxer just 17 days after the arrival of their second child. She texted Sophia Hammani after discovering her number on the I’m A Celebrity star’s phone.

She said: ‘What a f***ing a**hole. He makes me sick. I cannot believe this man’. Sophia, 22, admitted she had spent the night with the boxer in his hotel room after they met at a London club earlier this month.

However, instead of being angry with her husband’s lover, Hammani claims they had a ‘sisterly chat’ and Faryal forgave her for the fling.

She said the former World Champion, worth £23million, left her just £20 for a cab to her home, eight miles away on the opposite side of London.

Faryal, who wed Amir in 2013, had a daughter on April 24, a sister for their three-year-old girl, Lamaisah. The boxer is said to have cheated with Sophia on May 11. He has refuted the beautician’s claims.

He rejected the claims as ‘nonsense’ on Twitter, saying she was simply a fan aggrieved when he wouldn’t pose for a photo.
